The Gaines and Gentry
Families have produced some of the most influential horsemen in
the history of Thoroughbred breeding and racing. The
grandsons of Clarence F. Gaines and Olin Gentry and the sons of
John R. Gaines and Tom Gentry, Thomas B. Gaines and Olin B.
Gentry are third generation horsemen. Olin Gentry and John
R. Gaines have stood and managed the sport's most dominant
stallions and broodmares, including leading sires Roberto,
Lyphard, Riverman,
Graustark, Cozzene, and Broad Brush, as well as top
broodmares
(Prince Phillip with
Thomas including Broodmare of the Century La Troienne
and Broodmare of the Year Glowing

winners, and #1 in Average Earnings (all three based
on racetrack performance of horses sold).
